December 2022 POSITION SUMMARY The Marina Attendant is responsible for the operation of the Marina at Lakepoint including greeting visitors, operating a computer and cash register, selling Arkansas Game & Fish Licenses, renting, and maintaining motorized boats and kayaks, pumping gas, and answering the telephone.
The position requires independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters without direct supervision.
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Recreation Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Provides support for the department.
In addition to other duties as assigned, will open the facility on assigned days.
Take admission fees, register participants, sell passes, and make other financial transactions, including nightly cash outs and deposits when required.
Collect money, issue receipts, and operate a cash drawer in an efficient and accurate manner.
The position will require working on most weekends and holidays.
Applicants must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July.
Attends scheduled in-service training Maintains attendance and activity record and complete required reports Cleans and maintain rental boats, equipment and work area Reports breakdown of boats to and insures that repairs are scheduled and accomplished quickly Sanitized work area, rental property and store according to CDC guidelines Provides animal care to keep bait alive including worms, crickets and minnows Oversees and monitors activities of patrons Gives safety and proper operation briefings to those renting boats Offers first aid supplies and calls 911, if needed Efficiently distributes recreation equipment to patrons Immediately notifies the Lakes and Parks Superintendent of any accidents, recuses or problems that occur Actively seeks to book rentals Provides periodic supervision and custodial needs of facility Monitors security camera Asks for help from Lake Ranger on duty during busy times Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Interacts and communicates with the public and other employees in a courteous and professional manner in person and on the telephone Operates a computer and facility management software Keeps accurate inventory Informs Outdoor Recreation Manager when inventory is low and orders must be made Must be able to file digital reports and correspondence Must conform to all Bella Vista Property Owners Association policies and procedures Work requires continual attention to details Must exhibit excellence in customer service with all customers Must be able to drive or have the ability to learn to drive, a boat Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not regularly required to sit.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Greater than 50 pounds may require a team lift.
Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Specific required movements include the following:
trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry, arm's reach, and leg-lifts.
Must be able to swim.
The employee is required to work in a hot environment for extended periods of time.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
